ORLANDO, Fla., (March 7, 2025) - Orlando Motorsports Services (OMS) will be returning to the grid in exciting fashion for the 2025 racing season. In addition to the already announced GT4 America Pro/Am program in conjunction with P1 Groupe, OMS will be adding two entries for the McLaren Trophy America championship. Bob and Robby Stockard will pilot the No. 56 Hooper Street Racing McLaren Artura Trophy EVO with support from Mill Hill Capital, while Stephen Sorbaro will climb behind the wheel of the No. 49 machine.
Team Principal Eric Burch: It’s been great to see the growth of the program with expansion into the new McLaren Trophy America series. In offseason testing Bob and Robby Stockard, being coached by team driver Matt Bell, have taken more than 10 seconds off their initial lap times and similar for Stephen, who is coached by Pierre Kleinubing. The drivers have had great feedback about the Trophy EVO and think McLaren has done a fantastic job with this car. We’re looking forward to continuing to represent McLaren Orlando on racetracks throughout North America in 2025.
The 2025 season for both the GT4 America and McLaren Trophy America championships kick off at Sonoma Raceway on the weekend of March 28-30. With its scenic landscape, Sonoma Raceway provides a great test for man and machine to not just start a new season, but an entirely new championship where more than 20 McLaren’s will take to the track in their various series’.
Driver Quotes:
Bob and Robby Stockard: Joining the McLaren Trophy America grid for its inaugural year is an incredible opportunity to go racing with one of the most storied brands in automotive history. We are particularly excited for this series not only because it goes to incredible tracks across the United States, but because we will be driving the Hooper Street Racing Trophy EVO as a father-son team. Just like its road cars, McLaren set a new benchmark with the Artura Trophy EVO. The Trophy EVO has incredible acceleration, braking, and cornering stability. We can’t wait to go head-to-head with fellow McLaren customers this year, and the chance to campaign the Hooper Street Racing Trophy EVO with OMS, a successful team in the competitive GT4 America series, only adds to our excitement.
Stephen Sorbaro: I am excited to compete in the McLaren Trophy America series with OMS behind the wheel of the No. 49 McLaren Orlando Trophy EVO. OMS’s knowledge and experience working with McLarens will give us as drivers a winning advantage.
